Before Lynne became a nurse, she was a passionate teacher at the university, community college, and high school levels. The last twenty years of her thirty-year teaching career were spent developing and administering educational programs. As the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction for North Orange County Regional Occupational Program, Lynne worked to establish training programs and secure grants for five medical academies and dental assistant training programs. After retiring from a career in education, Lynne obtained a nursing license (LVN) with the intent of volunteering. She holds an MA in English and in Educational Administration, and a teaching credential in English, Science, and Social Science and concurrently continues to teach at UCLA Extension in their Instructor Development program.
