SHE Scholarship Opportunities
SHE is committed to promoting diversity in medicine, addressing health disparities, and alleviating the high cost of medical education. SHE is proud to present two scholarship opportunities for students of color: #Diversity SHEScholarships awarded to Black students in medicine and the Dr. Clark Inspirational Award for Medicine awarded to students of underrepresented racial or ethnic heritages including Black, Latinx, and Native communities who are pursuing a career in medicine.
SHE is deeply committed to healing our fractured communities and improving Black representation in all medical fields. SHE provides $50,000 over 5 years to Black students entering any healthcare-related pathway resulting in an AA degree or higher at Long Beach and Los Angeles area community colleges.
Stay tuned for more opportunities to empower, support, and sustain Black students in healthcare. Our next round of scholarships will open July 2023.
If you attend city colleges in LA and Long Beach area, come from a low-income background, and qualify for either of these scholarships please contact us at sheworldhealth@gmail.com to learn more.
These scholarships have generously been provided by Dr. Hanh Nguyen-Clark. Dr. Clark is deeply committed to addressing disparities in healthcare for racial and ethnic populations.
